We are going to WDW in November 2015. We are flying in on Thanksgiving Day and staying at the Grand Floridian Villas. There will be six adults and four children ranging from 1 1/2 to 7 years old. We are not going to a park that day, so we have been trying to decide what is good to do either around the resorts or downtown on Thanksgiving. Any suggestions for dinner or other events?

Awesome! I stay at the great WDW every year for Thanksgiving and this past year I stayed at the Grand. The Grand Floridian Cafe has awesome food and on Thanksgiving has all the Turkey and trimmings. However, we ate at Liberty Tree Tavern on Thanksgiving day. Also Gaspirilla Grill has this awesomely delicious Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwhich that has a layer of freshley carved turkey, stuffing, gravy and topped with cranberry sauce.....I had it twice while there!!! De-licious!!! Have an awesome time!

Thanks for the tips. I have heard that Liberty Tree Tavern is a popular spot, but we aren't using our park tickets that day. Where is Gaspirilla Grill? I know I've heard the name but can't place it. Is it in the park also?

We were in WDW this past Thanksgiving and opted for a non-Traditional but great family style meal at 'Ohana - yum!!

We were there over Thanksgiving staying at Saratoga Springs in a Villa. We opted to do Cracker Barrel Thanksgiving To Go Meal. I ordered the Thanksgiving meal, all the trimmings, and a pie in advance, then picked up the box that day and we feasted in our villa. It was good, easy and very affordable. We then took our savings from dinner (since most of the restaurants charge a premium on Thanksgiving Day and discounts are blacked out) and went and saw Cirque Du Soleil that night.

I never even thought of Cracker Barrel. I didn't know they did that. Thanks!
