Thanksgiving dinner off site?

I tried to search for this but to no avail.

Anyone have a near-Disney but offsite restaurant recommendation for a family on Thanksgiving day?

One other option if you're staying in a condo or townhouse, the local grocery store. That's what we did last year. It was our first Thanksgiving at WDW. About a week ahead, we ordered a full Thanksgiving dinner from the Publix grocery store that's 1 mile from the townhouse. It was a full meal for a family of 5. Picked it up the night before and put it in the fridge. Had an awesome day in Magic Kingdom, got home before 2:30pm. Went for a swim, then all we had to do was heat things up and we sat down to an awesome Thanksgiving dinner as a family. Best...Thanksgiving...Ever.

Absolutely what I would do (and have done) if I had a condo.

Also what I recommend if you'll have kitchen facilities. You can find the nearest Publix online and call the deli a week or so in advance if you won't be in town.

If you like Cracker Barrel, they have a nice Thanksgiving special. Turkey and dressing, two sides, bread, drink and pumpkin pie. Under $10. Regular menu is also available. We have done it several times on Thanksgiving.

That looks delicious, but you are right about the price! I was trying to go offsite to avoid spending $300+ on one meal.

I agree that eating alone in our DVC 1-bedroom is likely the best option, so I think I'll check into the Publix dinner options. I will also look closer at the list from HopperFan.

Columbia in celebration i think usually has a thanksgiving night meal. $12 uber from anywhere on disney property.

If it were me, I would go to the old staple. It is not fancy, but it is good and relatively inexpensive. I would hit up Golden Corral. They will have turkey and all the fixin's. They will have a bunch of other things as well.

For a budget friendly place I would go with Golden Corral. We did it one year and we were very satisfied.

When at home I would never do this...love to make everything from scratch and all. But if I were in a DVC 1-bedroom I would totally go with the fully-prepared dinner from Publix that you just heat and eat. And also love the PP's idea of spending some morning park time then maybe taking a swim before the dinner. So much better in my mind than dealing with a crowd at a restaurant or buffet line!

Another vote for the publix meal. We had to make last minute changes when my sisters family had to cancel hosting due to illness. We weren't expecting much but it was great and I think about $45.
