Thanksgiving Day Parades

Does anyone know why the parades are an hour earlier on Thanksgiving Day? We were going to have dinner at Goofy's at 4:30 and then I planned on us watching the Christmas Parade at 6:30, but the website says it's at 5:30 now. Just wondering if that's normal or if it's a glitch?
