Do you watch them?

I love watching them, but the rest of my family couldn't seem to care less.

I had to vote "never watch them" but this year that's all gonna change, thanks to TIVO!!

I LOVE parades but family obligations and dinners always get in the way ;)
Now with TIVO we can still do the family thing and spend the rest of the afternoon snuggled on the couch and watching the parades!! :thumbsup2

I try to catch a little of the Macy's parade, but I don't sit and watch the whole thing anymore - too many commercials. ;)

Watching the Macy's Day parade is a long time tradition. :thumbsup2

I enjoy watching parades a lot more than watching football.

AAAAAHHHH, covering my ears, I didn't hear that. :rotfl:

By the way the next time you talk to your grandson please give him a big thank you for serving our country, and let him know that there are many others who are proud of him too. :thumbsup2

In my family, the Woman watch the parades, the Men watch football and the kids run around and play. :)

Unless I close my eyes I have to watch the Macy's Thanksgving Parade because I will be there! :rotfl2:

It is our family tradition that either we are home in front of the fireplace with a stack of fresh baked goods my mom makes before the parade (she's up early) and nobody moves off the couch till we see Santa OR we are sitting on the cold ground cheering through every second of the parade on the street in Manhattan :cheer2:

I can't imagine Thanksgiving any other way. Besides, my mom doesn't make Thanksgiving, my Grandma (and Grandfather when he was alive) has made it since I was born. This year we are going to my Aunt's :guilty: I dont want to break our tradition.

I try to catch it but the family just doesn't care about them. I am waiting until the little one is a bit older, and we will venture into NYC to see it live. It just gets too crazy to bring her there now. I think maybe once they see it live they will appreciate it more.

I love the parades. It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without them :goodvibes

yes, - I love the parade and the scenes from the Broadway musicals. It has taken this long, but I think DD is actually starting to appreciate it more.

I plan Thanksgiving around it so I can relax and watch - we always do dinner later anyway....

it is just a tradition for me!!!! :sunny:

would LOVE to go down and see it live sometime!!!!!

You forgot "Go in Person"!

We go to the big parade in CT, which is tomorrow. They have the giant balloons that Macy's has, some are even bigger. It is a wonderful parade, better than being at Macy's (which I have been several times).

DD & I are going to watch them blow up the big balloons in a little while. :moped:

If I remember them I will turn the t.v. on to that channel. Even when it's on though, the kids aren't too interested. They get bored. :confused3

We have gone to the Macy's parade for 5 years. After being there, I just can't watch it on TV. It is so much better being there. We may go in next year.
