On the actual Thanksgiving Day (this year, Nov 22nd) does anyone know or have experience with the park closing due to capacity? (I know the Friday and weekend after are busy.)

We would like to go to Thanksgiving dinner at the DLH, but I don't want to leave the park if there's a chance we can't get back in. :sad1:

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I don't recall if they officially closed this past TG. The big signs were up first thing in the morning that it would be very busy and to expect closure to new guests. It was the last day of our trip and I actually opted to hang around DTD and the hotels rather than go into the parks that day because my son wasn't feeling well and spent most of the day asleep in his stroller anyway, so I just strolled around. Hope someone can answer this better for you.

It wasn't all that bad. I went with my sis and we got into the park a little before 3:30 and went pretty much straight to the Golden Horseshoe for a Billy show and the chocolate cake. I was suprised that at about 30 minutes before showtime to find my favorite front row table empty.

I kinda figured that locals might go to DL for a bit, but then everyone would leave around dinnertime to go back home for dinner.

I'm excited, this is our first visit during the holidays! :cool1:

yeah, the park wasnt that busy at all. but its enough to make me not want to go in and play.
