How are the crowds on this cruise? If crowded what can we expect in terms of waiting (lines on slides, character signings etc?)

We're sailing Fantasy in '16 w stop at Tortola, Castaway Cay and St. Thomas. What's the weather and sea/pool temps at that time?

Most of the time the ships sail full there is a limit and they cant pack more in so its full but the same as most cruises. Its not like WDW where it gets rammed or long queues or waits as the ships have the passenger limit and that is it. Queues are managed very well all the time week in and week out.

Aquaduck may have waits of up to an hour but if you go when it opens or in lesser known times like at night post pirates show there may not be any wait.

I went in November one year, ( bit earlier) it was very nice like and English summer's day, warm and not humid, very nice.

Our first Disney cruise was the Magic for Thanksgiving in 2010. We loved it! Such a relaxing way to spend the holiday. Thanksgiving dinner was very festive (I think it was semi-formal dress) and you could get a traditional thanksgiving dinner. It was a full ship, but like Disney Fantasy said there is a maximum on what a full ship is. We have only sailed at peak times (Thanksgiving, President's Week, Easter, and New Year's Eve) so it is all I know. It never seems unmanageable. We always find certain times when we can go on the AquaDuck with lower crowds (first thing upon boarding is a great time).

I think the weather can vary quite a bit. The best weather I have had on a Caribbean Cruise was New Year's Eve week this year- it was perfect and warm everywhere we went including Castaway. The coldest was the April Easter cruise when we almost missed CC and it was too cold for me to get in the water. Our Thanksgiving cruise was beautiful and the weather was nicer and nicer the further south we went. St Thomas was a perfect beach day, Castaway Cay was cooler but still swimmable (and I am a temperature wimp).

Another great thing about the Thanksgiving cruise is that you get right into the holiday spirit as all the Christmas decorations are up.

Us too we are going too spend Thanksgiving on the Fantasy for 2016
We did it on the Magic in 2000 cant wait to do it again

Do they heat the pools on the boat?

Yes, the pools onboard the ship are heated. Not hot, but heated.
