A friend of mine asked me how busy it is the weekend before and the week of Thanksgiving. They would get ther the Friday before and go to the parks Friday through Wed before Thanksgiving. They would not go Thanksgiving then they would leave Friday. I told her it would be very busy. But I get the feeling she doesn't believe me. So I told her that I would post the questions and let her know. From what I have read it is very busy. Have they ever been to capacity and closed the parks? any info you can give me Please do. Thanks Brenda

We go during this time every year but are back home for Thanksgiving Day. We arrive the Friday before and go to EPCOT on Sat. It's not packed but we do use fast pass to avoid having to wait in long lines. In the past we did MK on Sundays which is their early entry day and that park gets pretty crowded in the afternoon. We can get alot done in the morning. Again, we use fast pass. Last year we went to AK on Mon. morning and it was getting crowded around 11:00. That park does not handle crowds well, imo. We went to MGM late Monday morning and had to wait 30 minutes for some rides. In the past (excluding last year) we have been lucky enough to see the Osborne light display on Monday even though its official opening is later on that week. We don't go to the parks after Monday, so I can't tell you how the crowds are then. None of the parks have closed due to high occupancy during the weekend before Thanksgiving. We always arrive at each park before it opens to get as much done before the crowds hit.

Thank you very much that gives me a great idea how to tell her how to handle the days if they still decide to go. Brenda
