Due to scheduling issues we are considering delaying our September trip until the week before Thanksgiving. Does anyone have some input on how busy that week might be?

We have gone down in January, September, early December & our upcoming trip is in 2 weeks :D . Just wondered how crowds might compare this week. Is it usually much more crowded on Thanksgiving & the weekend following it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated - thanks!!!! :D

We always try to go at Thanksgiving. However, the week before is much more crowded than the week after. They have actually closed MK on Thanksgiving Day. The next 2 days are also crowded, but by Sunday it settles down. Plus, that is when they put up the holiday decorations.

We were there this past T/giving week (Sat. before through Sat. after). It was crowded, but not nearly as bad as I expected. We tried to get to our "favorites" as early as possible each day, and used FASTPASS as much as we could. By the end of each day, crowds got thicker, but also the parks closed earlier, so...

we went this past Thanksgiving... arrived the morning before (left Providence in a snowstorm) and stayed until Sunday night.

It wasn't nearly crowded as I had expected. We stayed at the Polynesian, so we could take either the monorail or walk over ot the TTC and take the monorail from there to Epcot or MK.

Security lines went quickly. We went to Epcot on Thanksgiving morning for the Princess Breakfast (REALLY Expensive preplated cold food!! or at least it was cold by the time we got it), then to MK at night after dinner.

Friday we spent at MGM, used the FP system for a few rides.... it really wasn't that bad. We were first at the entrance for the Osborne Lights, really cool!!!

Saturday was probably the worst for crowds, but we went from park to park with no problem. Sunday, MK was like a ghost town at parade time... You could actually walk on Main Street and find good viewing spots on the sidewalks.

The parks were opened late each night we were there. I believe they may have closed at 6pm on Sunday night, but we were at the airport by that time. oh, yeah, the stores on Main St were crowded... you can only say excuse me so many times, then you have to kind of push your way through when they won't move!!

would we go again??? yes of course.. but this year, we're going on a cruise instead!!!!! Go for it and have fun... it's really not that bad as some people will make it out to be. Oh yeah, Sunday, we went on the Tower of Terrror & Rockin roller coaster in 13 minutes.. didn't need a FP that day!!

We went this year, arrived late on the Saturday b4 Thanksgiving. Did WDW from Sunday thru Tuesday, then moved over to the Hard Rock hotel and did US/IOA Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. We did EPCOT on Friday. Crowds weren't bad Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. There were a lot of people at EPCOT on Friday, but it is so huge we did not have a problem. The only long line we waited in was for the Candlelight Processional, and it was well worth it. We planned it so we were at US/IOA toward the end of the week, so we could use the Front of the Line privilege and not have to worry about lines!

We were there this past Thanksgiving from Friday before 'til Friday after. We had only been in June before, so we thought the crowds were o.k. All the Christmas decorations were an added bonus. We were able to do a lot of stuff several times with minimal wait times! The only park that was crowded was MK the Sunday before.
