Thanksgiving at WDW?

We just got our schedule for the next school year. We have a very long Thanksgiving break and were thinking about spending it with Mickey. What is it like that time of year crowds and weather.

Thanksgiving week is one of the four or five busiest weeks of the year at WDW.

Arrive the Friday night before Thanksgiving. The crowds don't increase alot until Wednesday. We've been to WDW during Thanksgiving for years and we find this to be true every year. I'd subscribe to Tour Guide Mike-it's about 20 bucks and well worth it if you don't want to spend your time waiting in lines.

We usually switch to a Universal onsite hotel on Wednesday because of the front of the line access-5 minute wait tops.

This is our plan and we've found it works really well.

I have to say that it is not the best time to there in terms of crowds. But if you are going just make sure that you book all your dining far in advance to get the restaurants that you want. Also make good use of the fast pass system and plan on doing hte busiest things early in the day. You will have fun at Disney no matter what the crowds are like!

We went 3 years ago at Thanksgiving. I agree with poster above - crowds were not bad until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Great part about this time of year is all the Christmas Decorations are up. Ride the major attactions early in the week then slow down and take in all the sites towards the end of the week.

Sounds Great, we plan on getting to DW Friday before Thanksgiving around lunch time and then going to the tentatively scheduled Very Merry Christmas Party that night and then leaving out on Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I hope the Christmas Party is like the Pirate & Princess Party.
