Hello! We are planning our first DVC vacation for Thanksgiving week this fall. Wondering if anyone has done Thanksgiving Dinner while at WDW and if anyone has suggestions. Would rather not do a buffett, like the whole sit down experience.

Thanks!

subscribing...we'll be there for our 1st Thanksgiving visit too :goodvibes

Thanks!

We were at WDW for Thanksgiving of 2005 and we had our meal at the 50's Prime Time we enjoyed it very much.

Think we are going to do MK for that day. Probably brunch at Olivias ( our home resort) and dinner at Liberty Tree. I love 50's Prime Time though, yummy!

We have been very happy with our last two Thanksgiving Dinners at the Crystal Palace!!! :thumbsup2

Check for special menus during Thanksgiving. Some restaurants might still offer some items from their original menu, while others will go "turkey and trimmings" all the way.
We went to Jiko in 2006, and all their dishes were from a special holiday menu.

We're surprising the kids with a trip this Thanksgiving. Because nobody can make Thanksgiving like me, we're not even going to try to replicate it. We've decided to do something completely different like Chinese or Moroccan (sp?). I think it's the only way to not be disappointed. Don't mean to sound snotty, but if it's not mine, I'll try something completely different. Just a suggestion.

If you want to do a special restaurant BOOK EARLY.... We were there several yrs ago and had reservations, but then found out other family would be there too, and could not get any new ressies for all of us. We ended up walking in at the Kona Cafe at the Poly and had a wonderful dinner - very untraditional, but my DD said it was the best ever.

We had 2007 Thanksgiving dinner at Le Cellier! We had a wonderful time...did not opt for the Turkey dinner but the filet was great! Make an ADR soon so you will not be disappointed.

We will be there during that time also. When you say, book soon, don't we still need to wait the 180 days prior to book? Or can you book earlier because it is Thanksgiving?

She meant book as soon as you can after your 180 days opens up...we can't book earlier than that. :)
