Thanksgiving at Boma?

I have Boma booked for Thanksgiving, but I'm wondering how much of the African food they'll be replacing with traditional Thanksgiving fare. Have anyone done Boma on Thanksgiving and can share some thoughts on the matter?

I haven't been to Boma on Thanksgiving, but when I called to make my ADR for Thanksgiving this year the castmember said that Boma would not be serving traditional Thanksgiving items. She said the buffet would be regular Boma items.

We've been to Boma on Xmas and TG (2006 and 2007).
On TG 2007 they had a station with turkey, cornbread, cornbread stuffing, mash, sweet potato mash, cranberry sauce, green beans and gravy and then the regular food with some dessert alterations (pumpkin zebra domes i think and some pumpkin flan thing).
Now, we've never been to Boma on a non-holiday night, so can't tell you how much was replaced. However, having read the menus and seen people's pics, certainly when we went it seems much of the Boma stews/ curries were taken out, but they had most of the salad/ cold items they normally have.
I think they swapped out quite a few of the hot items for the big beast of the turkey they were carving :rotfl2:
Oh, and when we made our Boma ADR for 2007, the CM I spoke with told me there wasn't really going to be any TG items...so not sure if it might be the same incorrect info this year?? :confused3 Personally I'm glad they did the whole TG meal - that was some of the best food I've eaten on WDW property!!

Ooooh, I really hope they have what we are expecting. Boma is one of our favorite meals and we go there on our AK day which is Thanksgiving this year. We were hoping for mostly Boma stuff, especially soups and curry with a small station of turkey for those who wanted it. We are taking some newbies to Boma and we have bragged about the flavors, so I hope they have the enough of the traditional flavors. Anyone else been there on Thanksgiving and can compare it to regular. Thanks! See you there Mulan.

Yeah, I seriously wouldn't worry about it. We've been there basically every trip and even on non-holiday nights they have traditional American fare for those who aren't keen on African fare. I'm talking roast beef, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans, etc. So why wouldn't they have even more traditional fare on Thanksgiving? We've been there Christmas Eve and NYE and even though their African fare was still at full force (yum yum) they had more traditional fare for those who are into that. Disney's pretty good about their buffets anyway. Have fun and eat for me!
