We are planning a trip the week of Thanksgiving. When do the Christmas decorations usually go up??? Thanks :grouphug: :woohoo:

Some decorations start going up mid-November. By the Sunday after Thanksgiving, they are all up. That has become a busy time of year, so plan accordingly.

Actually, from the Monday after Thanksgiving until around Dec. 15 or so, is a GREAT time to visit WDW.

The crowds are historically lower then (certainly MUCH lower than near Christmas week and New Years week).

As was said, all of the decorations are up... and the Candlelight show at Epcot is running and MVMCP at MK is starting.

Yes, from the Monday after Thanksgiving until Dec. 15 is good, that's when we go a lot. However, the OP said they are going the week of Thanksgiving, and I have heard that they get big crowds that week- Saturday before until the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Once when we flew down on Thanksgiving Day, we were told at check-in that the MK was closed to everyone that day.
