We have been countless time, but never on Thanksgiving Day. I have heard the MK often reaches capacity. Do you think it will be a good time to get there around dinner time and stay for the extra magic hours 'til 1 am?
Last year we went to Animal Kingdom Thanksgiving morning and MK that night. We were there for Wishes, the park pretty much cleared out after the fireworks and we walked on most rides or had very little wait on others. We heard they stopped letting people in MK earlier in the day but that was not the case that night. We are planning on doing the same thing this year.
I did last year and it was packed, but fun all the same. You should try going during the second week of december, most are usually in school untill like the week before christmas to beat everyone to it.
Typically, I would NEVER travel to WDW during peak times. We usually take DS out of school the last two days of the first week of school......I know, I know......but it's really great. The second week of Dec is another favorite time, I agree. But, this year we are going on our first Disney Cruise and we wanted to make the most of our time in WDW. Glad to hear about the late hours clearing out. That makes me feel a bit better.
We are going to be there the 16th thru the 23rd. We have gone once before at this time and loved it. Thanksgiving was crowded so not sure which park we will go to on Thurs. since I would really prefer to avoid the large crowds. Have a great trip!!!
We have been going for the past 11 yrs... at Thanksgiving time... but since it is hard getting the nieces and nephews out of school we stopped 2 years ago... but hubby and I ( early 40's - child moved out this year) yeah and boo hoo at the same time.... are starting up again... but off site... I' ll cook - because we ate out 1 time and hated it... so turkey london broil stuffed that is... for us..
