I just wanted to thank everyone that helped me with information on London. We just got back and had a great time. The only problem we had was the day of the big wind storm we took the Original Bus tour that got lost and kept us captive for several hours. The train was really great. We landed in Manchester and took the train to Stafford. Stafford and the area area around it was really great. We then took the train from Stafford to London. We took the tube all over London. The apartment was great and the people wonderful. We enjoyed our time at The Tower of London, Hampton Court, Westminster Abbey, the Winston Churchill War Rooms as well as the Britain at War Exibit. My dh who hadn't really wanted to go to Britain before now wants to return and see more of your country. It was with your help that I was able to make the decision about several things. Hope sometime I can return the favour.

It was a great trip. My dh who is a workaholic actually really did take time out and enjoy himself. My dd would like to move to England if she could but at this time my dd, her dh and my dgrdd will be coming to England to visit friends in Sept.
Oh did I say how great your train system is? Or how comfortable it is? My dh loves trains so this was a great way for him to travel although it was a little more luxurious than he is used to LOL. He is used to the work trains that move things and people in northern Ontario.
When I first posted on the UK board I wasn't sure what kind of reception I would get but I shouldn't have worried. Everyone was very nice and kind. I know that in the future if I am going back to England I can "ask away".
