Thanks to DH & DS I have Switching Resort Syndrome (UPDATE!)

First it was AKL Concierge, then Swan due to price difference, and now DS watched the planning dvd and is begging to stay at POR or FQ so he can go on the serpent slide. DH said we got to pick the resort the last time so he thinks DS should have a say this time. If we pick POR we can still pool hop to FQ because they are sister resorts right? (My DH would like to request AB) The men in my life are driving me nuts! Frankly, at this point I will be happy just to make it to Disney!

Wow~ what a swing in choices! There are differences in amenities between the moderates and the deluxes. I am sure you have researched all three resorts though so you must know. Good luck picking!

And the winner is... POR. DH promised DS he would take him over to FQ pool once during our stay. DH promised me dinner at AKL so at least I will get to spend a little time there. We have only stayed onsite once, last year at AKL, so DH was insisting we try another resort. (The things I sacrifice for my boys!)

I get it every time Im planning a trip to the world! A while back someone on the boards coined the phrase RAD (Resort Anxiety Disorder). I think that fits also.

Be happy its the POFQ. When we let DS pick where he wanted to stay on our last trip, he picked the CR tower. It was fun but pricey.

You'll like POFQ, we stayed there and DS loved it, and the serpent slide.

Well, I never did get my POFQ reservations made. I was so busy DH said he'd take care of it. He told me yesterday that the reservations were all set. I asked if he got std. or Wv and if he made any requests. He said he got neither view. I asked him what in the world he did because I was worried that he really screwed something up. (This is the first time in his life he has ever made reservations) He said after some serious number crunching he realized he was off on his figures and we would have enough money left over from my inheritance (after paying all the bills) to upgrade. I told him not to leave me in suspense- He booked woodsview at WL. DH and DS sat down and talked about their choices in resorts (without me of course) and they made the decision together to stay at WL. DH got his inside halls, DS got a pool slide, and mom got her deluxe stay after all. We all loved AKL very much but they decided they wanted to try a new resort. We did resort hop quite a bit last time and WL was the one that appealed to us the most. My only concern was that it would be alot noisier than AKL was, but I am sure I will forget all about it once I step into that beautiful lobby.

You are going to be so happy with them for making that choice! Don't worry about the noise, I didn't hear any there other than when I was out on the balcony and could hear the music playing. My kids liked the pool and slide at WL better than the ones at POR also. The boat to MK is worth the extra price and then some. Have a great trip!

You'll love WL! It is such an awesome resort - and close to the Magic Kingdom!
