I just wanted to tell everyone how special someone has been to me. I just recently went on the cruise and had visions of coming home with all these specials pins. I am came home with bronchitis and a hand full of rack pins.

I had made arrangements with DawnG to make a trade. When I returned home I told her I was not able to get any of the pins that she had wanted. She was holding a very special pin for me in hopes that we could trade. Since things did not work our this time, she said she would be more then happy to hold on to this speical pin for me until my next cruise. I thought that was so kind.

Then I found out that someone else was trying to trade with her - and they had the pin that I had hoped to get for her. Instead of her going ahead and trading, she refused to trade because she had already promised me the pin. Now how sweet is that.

It winds up that the pin I wanted - the DCL Christmas Ornament - I was actually trying to get for a special friend. I found out that this friend was able to trade for the pin on their own so I emailed her and now she is making the trade for the pin she really wanted.

I just could not believe she would be so nice as to hold that pin for me for a couple months, just in hopes of me getting a pin for her.

I have to agree with you on this one, Dawn and her whole family are very sweet and kind people. I got to spend some time with them at the august event and they helped us get a couple of the pins that we did not qualify for,thank you all so much. Now if I remember reading somewhere Dawn, will you be attending the AK event? If so it will be great to see you again.

I would like to thank both of you very much for the wonderful compliments. I guess I just figure that in the long run if a trade is planned and I know I will get the pin--it doesn't really matter to me if I get it next week or 2 months from now. Sooner or later I will have it and the stress of looking for that particular pin is channeled into looking for another pin. (it's a cruel, cruel cycle we put ourselves through, LOL).

Yes, Kathy, I will be at the AK event, but only mom and I. DH Voucherdave will be home with our hairball Krystal. So I will see you there. Hopefully we will be down sometime Friday and will make it to the Contemporary that evening.


Again I thank you for the wonderfully kind words. I was just doing what I thought anyone else would do as well.
