Are they selling BWV or VWL at less than what it cost to buy at the Saratoga Springs ?

It is currently $95 per point for new members to buy at BWV or VWL.

Currently, SSR is $101 (some say this price doesn't go in effect until 7/1, but that is what they were going to charge me as a new member in June - I bought at BWV instead), but there is an $8 per point discount if you want your '05-06 points or $13 per point if you don't take any points until next year. So, the price is really $93 or $88 per point depending on whether you want this year's points or not.

I called DVC from home, asked for 150 at VWL, got a call back later in the day saying they had the points, bought it.

Isn't instant gratification wonderful?

We've purchased DVC direct from here in California, through a resale broker, and resale from a private party. Each had its advantages, but buying from Tommy, our guide, is always a pleasure - and he's always found the points for us the same day.

Welcome Home! Perhaps we'll run into you at VWL someday.

Yes - and don't ask for our favorite building at OKW, either! We could tell everyone how neat it is, but then we'd have trouble booking a villa there.

We should remember that if there were points available for a new member at VWL, an old member has left.
