I've asked users for their suggestions on a camera and what to look for in a camera. After all responses, I've compiled lists and finally decided on one.

I purchased a Pentax Optio 330GS. I love the Pentax brand. I have a regular 35mm Pentax and the picture quality is great. I've never seen a good red-eye feature like theirs so that helped in deciding on a brand for a digital. My digital has a flip-out screen for taking self-portraits as well. Love that feature! It's very easy to use and picture quality is great.

I've researched online for about 3 months, reading as many customer reviews as possible. My main thing was the complaints and some were the same on cameras. Needless to say, some were easy to eliminate from the running.

I came across the Pentax and the reviews were all good. The only complaint was that it came with a 16mb compactflash card, but the was the typical complaint about all cameras and was an easy fix.

So anyway, thanks again to all who helped. Your suggestions definately came in handy...

What source did you use to research?
We have 3 digital cameras now but I want one just for me. I know what I like and don't like in the ones we have but there is probably a lot I am not thinking about.
My DH said I would need to spend about $500.00 to get what I want and I want to make darn sure I am happy w/ it. Basically my 6 YO DD has a better camera than I have.

I've searched epinions:

You can narrow them down by clicking on features your interested in (EX: size, zoom, etc) or you can search different brands and read opinions.

I also searched:

http://www.amazon.com

On that site, I'd type in a name of a camera that I was interested in and got customer's opinions from there as well.

And:

http://www.dpreview.com

I'd click on the left side on "reviews". Then click on camera name or more cameras for more complete listing. They have their opinions and some also have customer opinions.

I'm going to post my opinions on these sites after I get my pictures back from "shutterfly" online photo printing. I want to let people know the quality of the prints. The camera itself is great so I hope the photos will be as well. Others say they are outstanding so I guess I'll soon see.
