Hello!

Slightly de-lurking to say thanks to Pete for playing my voicemail on the solo show last week, and for his very kind words! I was catching up on podcasts on my way home from Halloween festivities at GKTW last night (a huge success, btw!) and was quite surprised to hear my own voice coming from my speakers. I've been listening to the Podcast for years and I'm just thrilled to have something to share!

In addition to thanking the team, I did want to give a special shout out to Dave Parfitt. His GKTW segment really helped me "get it", and hearing how much fun he and his girls had on their tour just made me understand the Village in a completely different way. If you haven't listened to it yet, you should! Dave just reposted the "director's cut" right here:

I will also share that even after listening to this segment, even after hearing Pam Landwirth speak, even after working a few shifts as a visiting volunteer, there was still SO much I didn't know about GKTW -- now that I'm at the Village almost daily, I am learning just gobs and gobs of information and every single day I am blown away by what this organization is able to do and how many wonderful people come together to make things happen. It is just more fantastic than I could even imagine!

Thanks, team -- and let's go Power of 10!

I just wanted to say that I think you are an inspiration to us all. :worship: The way you dropped everything to go, picked up from NYC, and moved to Florida just to volunteer at GKTW... wow! :worship:

Please don't be a stranger around our community.

I heard your message on the podcast and was incredibly moved and inspired by what you've done, Snow :flower3: I hope you're enjoying your time in FL :wizard:

I just listened to the podcast with your segment in it about an hour ago, and I have to commend you for what you are doing. You didn't just talk, you acted on it! Amazing and inspirational, to pull up roots and move to Florida for 6 months to work at GKTW! All I can say is wow! You are an inspiration!

Thanks guys! I'm having a blast, it has been a wonderful experience! And last night one of the staff asked me if I wanted to be trained to be a Bunny Buddy...a character wrangler in Disney-speak, basically an escort to Mayor Clayton during the various parties. Pretty awesome, right?

Hey "Snow",

You are a GREAT person for what you are doing ansd a inspiration to All of us!
Bless you!

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Your voicemail brought tears to my eyes. I echo the sentiments of everyone else here. You are an inspiration. Thank you.

Hi There!

I just caught up and listened to this part of the solo show this morning. You are a true inspiration. I have only volunteered at GKTW a few times and found it to be life-changing; I can only imagine what it must be like to do it daily. Please join us in our discussions here on the boards. You are an invaluable resource to those interested in volunteering (we do have a small group going in December).

:welcome: and thank you for your service!

Again, thanks :)

And I can't wait to meet some DISers in December -- I don't think I've scheduled myself for that day yet, but I definitely will!
