I appreciate all the info yall gave me about the packages deals, it really helped.
I've been reading through these dis. boards most of the morning and now I have more questions.
My sister and I want to stay on site, we won't have a car, so I want easy access to the parks. Is the ASMovie resort a good place to stay? Are the moderate resorts much more expensive.
(I'd love to have an ironing board and iron in the room).:D
Also, how do you become a member of the Disney Club? And what are the perks of being a member?
Is there any way to contact Dreams Unlimited by phone? ;)
Thanks again for all your help!

I can answer a few questions.
Go to www.disneyclub.com for all the info on that program.
Any resort that is on site (and the DD resort hotels) is on the Disney transportation system. Just hop on a bus, monorail or whatever (depending on where you stay) and it will take you to the park(s).
At the All Stars, you can request an iron and ironing board at no fee.
That is all I can help with.

First trip for me: 1973
(the year of my birth)
DL a few times and WDW a zillion times (it seems) :) up until 1989 when MGM opened
First trip w/ DH (28), DS (4), DD (2): 2/28-03/06/01-Wyndham Palace
Next trip: 09/28-29/01 ASMu; 09/30-10/08/01 ASMo

As for ASmovies, I've never stayed there but from what I heard it's a very nice property and newer than ASMovies and AS-Sports. As far as the moderates go, they may not be that much more depending if you get a special or AP discount. Without a discount you can expect to pay about 50.00 more. And the only way to determine if it's worth it, is to read the resorts board and look at the features of both. But, if you don't plan on spending alot of time in the room always go for the cheaper one.
During our last trip I requested an ironing board and iron. When we returned from the parks it was in the room! When I called to ask where should I return it to, they told me to keep for as long as I needed.

Will hubby ever let us stay anywhere else?

Here is my price comparison of ASMo vs moderates - I compared 2 rooms at ASMo to one at Mod. just divide by 2!!!

If your going in august/September/Oct time frame have you checked into using the "Secret Codes" to get a room at the all stars for $49 a night. If you don't have this info and think it would apply to your stay email me Kcdunlap@badshoe.com and I'd be happy to share.

Thanks to all of you! Because of the wonderful info I've gotten from this board, I've made a decision about my resort. I'm getting a terrific discount at the Swan/Dolphin resorts!! Now I'm trying to decide which one of those to stay at. I have a post on the Disney Resorts board about that, if any of you could help me out, I'd appreciate it!!!!!
Thanks again! Sharkie :D
