I really want to thank Kathy again for her report on and recommendation of the Wild Africa Trek at Animal Kingdom. I did the Trek on the Saturday morning before DISapalooza, and had a fabulous time! The guides were wonderful, and we saw a lot of great "wild life". They really work to make you feel like you really are out in the wild. Another benefit is the smaller safari jeep we were on during that portion of the tour. We could pull off to the side, and sit and watch the giraffes or the baby elephant for a while, while several of the "regular" jeeps went past us. We heard one kid yell "Hey! How do they get to do that?"
One of the perks of this trip is that they take photos throughout the tour, and afterwards, you get a CD of all the photos (plus some really great stock photos they've taken on other Treks). I just got my CD (they said 3 - 4 weeks, but it was a week and a half.) I'd forgotten to charge my spare battery the night before, so I didn't have much charge left on my camera. I totally wasn't worried about it, because the guides were right there, taking photos of everything. Really a great benefit! The shots are really wonderful, too. I'll post some when I get home & can load the photos up to Photobucket.
I highly recommend this tour! Thanks again, Kathy!
