Ok, so I figured out how to get the name with the filled in characters.
But for the life og me can not figure out how to outline the name in a darker
color.
I am using Photo Shop Elements 6.

Any advice will be most appreciated. ( of course it has to be baby steps, detailed advice) Thanks!

I took me awhile to figure this out. I'm using PSE 5.0 in the Artwork and Effects pallette with the text layer selected give the text some sort of effect (for instance a low drop shadow or a simple emboss). Now that the layer has an effect you will see a sunshine icon on the text layer. Double click on that icon and you will see a check box that says "Stroke". It will be unchecked. Check it and choose any color from the color pallette next to it and Voila! Hope that helps! You can make the stroke size larger or smaller by changing the number next to it.

Now if I can only figure out how to get it out of the Adobe file to print my transfers. LOL!

I printed up your directions and followed them step by step. The only difference that PSE6 gives you a little fx sign next to text not sunburst.
