Just a note to tell of our success with the waitlist

We are going to WDW in August and wanted to stay one week at WLV and then the next five nights at BWV. Called right at 7 months, but most of the days weren't available at BWV.

Went on the waitlist, and after reading here about going day by day and auto confirm, I called member services to switch it around. It started coming together one day at a time. I really think that day to day is the way to go since you don't have to wait for the entire 5 nights to come available.

Thanks for the great info, great board and great members! We're going to have a fantastic first trip 'home'! My wife is very excited, she loves the boardwalk.

OK, I have gigured out day to day but I have not heard about "auto confirm", can someone fill me in please? Thanks

Hi Danky,

It just means that they automatically make the reservation if a room becomes available while on the waitlist, instead of calling you to confirm. Since I knew I wanted the room and had enough points, I just told them to auto confirm anything that came available.
