Hi, which would you say is the busiest time in the park, the week including Thanks Giving or the week after? I guess what I'm asking is if you are adding extra holiday days to Thanks Giving do you do it leading up to or after Thanks Giving.

thanks

Leading up to Thanksgiving was a nightmare this past year. The last time I saw crowds that high was when I worked at MK on NYE in 2016. If I could book the vacation again, I would book it for the dates after Thanksgiving.

I arrived on Thanksgiving last year and stayed for 10 nights. I found it to be busy, but very manageable. I purposely planned light for the first few days, as I figured that it would start out packed and then start to quiet down on Monday. I planned for no real park activity on Thanksgiving itself. Instead, I had an amazing dinner at CG, walked to MK just in time to see the castle lighting, and then headed back to FQ almost immediately due to the crowd. All of my plans for the week were relatively flexible and I have an AP, so I was always ready to park hop or head to DS if needed. I was also lucky enough to catch a non sold out (and nearly empty) DAH at MK that allowed me to walk on whatever I wanted. Overall, I had such a great trip that I’m planning to go the exact same time frame this year. The great unknown is SWGE. I fully expect it to be busier this year, but HS is my least favorite park anyway and I’m hoping that the spillover to the other 3 will be manageable at least.
