Sue, that's one awesome batch of pixie dust you sprinkled us with! We had the best trip to WDW we've had in years.

Thanks to everyone who shared tips a few weeks ago on getting the GAC--your advice was such a big help! I explained the needs of our two DD's at City Hall and asked for Fastpass entry. The cast member said that kind of GAC is only for autistic children. I started to explain again how fatigued the girls get criss-crossing the park to get fast passes, and he immediately (and cheerfully) relented and gave us the GAC I had requested. It made such a difference in allowing the girls to do more in the parks than they would have been able to without it. Even with the pass, we still didn't do a fraction of what a typical family probably does, but we had a good time made better by the GAC.

Glad to hear that everyone's hints helped you. Now you can help other people out with all the great things you learned.

We have also run into the "GACS are only for people with autism. You already get all the assistance you need by having your wheelchair" spiel. And that was after I told them that a CM at a ride (even gave the CM's name and ride station) had told us to go to GS and get a GAC because she could see what a hard time we had in line.
It was true that you did not need a GAC if you had a wheelchair, way back, many years ago when almost all the rides had special wheelchair entrances and almost none of the lines were wheelchair accessible. It's not correct now. Some people who use wheelchairs don't need anything more than an accessible line; they don't need a GAC. There are many people with multiple disabilities that the regular lines just don't work for.

Julia, glad to read you & your family had a magical experience at WDW! Have you started to plan the next trip :)?

There's nothing like a trip to WDW to make you want to take a trip to WDW! :) I think that's going to be it on Disney World for a while, though...got several medical trips coming up.

Sue, I will try to chime in if anyone has questions I might be able to answer.

Thanks again, everybody!
