Thanks for Rental Car savings tips

I'd like to thank everyone that has posted tips for how to save on rental cars!!!

When I began looking, a rental car for 4 adults and 2 kids was well over $500.

I have read every thread on how to save... And those tips have really paid off.

This morning I found one for five days, seats 7 people, from Thrifty for $227!!!

I'll keep looking and who knows maybe even save a little more.
If not at least I have my reservation for this one.

Not sure if you booked directly through them or some other way. If directly through them, you can get another 3.5% back in cash if you book via Ebates with Thrifty. That is almost $8 cash back from them. Just keep going back and checking rates out. You may even get a better deal before you trip.
