We had reservations for our upcoming trip but thanks to the DIS I knew it wouldn't be open in time so I changed our adr's for that night. A couple of days ago there was a message on our machine from Disney telling us about the changes and they wanted me to call back. I wasn't going to since I had already changed our adr, but when I read here about the Illuminations VIP seating I gave them a call back today. I was pleasantly surprised when they offered us the VIP viewing even tho we had already changed our plans...:cool1: It is for the last night of our vacation (8/24) so it will be a great way to end it.

The DIS is a great place for information - thanks guys!! :thumbsup2

I'm still waiting for a call - what resturant did you change it to?

You do not have to wait for Disney to call you. You can call Disney dining, and change your ressies that way. They will transfer you to a special CS rep. Our ressies were on 9/25, but the day I heard here on the Dis about this, I called, and got LeCellier and VIP Illuminations.

I also changed our reservation after hearing about it on the Dis & was given VIP seating for the fireworks. The consenses seem to be that having that VIP thing is really not that big a deal but it is nice they offered it anyway. We switched over to Chef de France (something different for us to try!). I didn't wait for them to call me though but called them because I wanted to make sure that I got the choice of time before they called everyone else.

We are off to Flying Fish instead.

I actually think it is a big deal, even tho there will be more people in the VIP section. It is one way where you can see Illuminations without any trees in the way! And I think that it is a nice thing for Disney to do as they really didn't *have* to do anything.

Isn't Flying Fish 2 table service credits? I'm waiting for them to call me because I can't decide where I want to switch to! We've done most of the other places in Epcot and really wanted to try something different. Might have to switch to another park.
