I just hate hurricanes! Usually they're not that bad but this one has had the biggest effect on Central Florida. We started school last Monday, Aug 9.....then on Aug 13 we had a 'hurricane day'...ok, now we're going to be off this entire week PLUS next Monday so that the city can repair all the damage.....with this being the start of hurricane season I predict that my school will not be having summer vacation this year.....

Wow. I would hate that. We get off for heat and snow/ice here, but thankfully we don't have to worry about hurricanes. Tornadoes, yeah, but they've never cancelled school for that. I actually kind of like storms, but not hurricanes or tornadoes. They are scary.

Every few years or so, we will get hit by a hurricane, but it's never as bad as what Charley did to Florida. As for us, we just got some rain and winds Sat. night.
