Thanks to all of you guys who gave all that great advice to me! My grama and I returned from our trip late Tuesday night. She had a super time (albeit limited) in the ECV that we rented from Walker. I also got a wheelchair from the resort (Riverside, BTW) and can't beleive I got thru it alone!
Talkinghands: you are right about the bumpy bridges at Riverside! Fortunately, we did not have to go over them too much. We ate breakfast at the food court almost every day - but I went to get the food and bring it back to the room.
Cheshire Figment: A great BIG thank you for your great directions on taking apart the ECV! Yours were much better than the directions that came with it! After taking the thing apart & putting it back together a couple of times, I learned how to do it fast and without getting so dirty! Thanks again!
We stayed at Parterre Place, and got a h/c room with two beds. Yes, Talking hands was right & the bathroom was a bit small. I liked the big double sinks though.
Grama only got out for about 4 hours per day (she's 78 and has Parkinson's), but she loved every minute of it! We stayed out late one night, Saturday, and saw Spectromagic. She had a great spot in the h/c section in Liberty Square.
While this trip was no vacation for me, it would have been much more difficult without the help and tips you guys gave me. Thanks again for helping me make my grama's last vacation very special!
