I meant to post this before I started chatting on another thread, but...

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the help and advice I have had from people on this board over the last few weeks. Our first ever trip to Disneyland was amazing and much of it thanks to the tips I have had on here.

On Tuesday it was very cold but there were no queues for anything except the meet and greets, so we were moving all the time and not really feeling it. I did a plan in advance as we were only there for one day but we were able to fit in much more than I had anticipated, including popping over to the studios for an hour in the afternoon to see Animagique and Stitch Live (unfortunately Playhouse Disney was closed)

We had booked a table at Inventions after the park shut, and I was contemplating cancelling it as my two year old was starting to get a bit grisly during the parade. Im so glad I didnt as it turned out to be the icing on the cake, and exactly what we all needed as we were starting to feel the cold a bit.

We were the first ones in the restaurant and when we went in Mickey and Goofy were actually waiting for us at our table (or so it seemed), the look on my girls faces was just magical. It was such an expensive meal but worth every penny, we were there for three hours and got an unbeleivable amount of attention from the characters as it was so very quiet (we were the only ones in there for the first half an hour). Just amazing. The food was excellent too.

Well through reading so many threads I have also found a lot of tips for our next trip ;) which I think may have to involve staying at a Disney hotel, as after such a wonderfull day dp is a definate convert to the wonderfull world of Disney :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

It sounds like you had a full and Magical day :cloud9:, but oh dear, you are all hooked now lol!

Sounds like a wonderful trip:goodvibes

Oh, yes! Staying on property is the way to go! We have experienced everything from honeymooning at the Grand Floridian to stays at the Pop Century and All Star Music. Staying in a Disney resort is amazing, convenient, and yes, "magical." Once you stay on property, you will ever go back to other hotels. :-)

Sounds like you had a fantastic day, I'm sure they'll be many more :goodvibes

Glad you enjoyed your trip:goodvibes

Wow, what a great day - all that in one day - you did well! Like you say though, the tips on here really help. I remember coming back from my first trip and thanking everyone on here - their advice & help (whether general or specific to me) really helped make our trip special.

However, one thing I will say, it should come with a 'warning' sticky saying once you come on here and make a trip, you'll be hooked and it's not good for your bank balance :rotfl2:

Glad you had a good time and enjoyed inventions we are going for our first time in March!

Glad you had a great time :goodvibes and what a good job that you didn't cancel Inventions!
