Just wanted to thank everyone on this board. I have been lurking for months now while I planned the first trip to Disneyland for my two boys (age 3 & 5). We had a wonderful time.

Thanks to this board:

My son was picked for the Jedi show because he had a sign that I made him ahead of time.

Had an inexpensive, but clean stay at the Park Vue

Left the parks everyday at 2 thanks to a chart that I saw that said crowds usually peak at 2pm.

Went straight to Nemo first thing since everyone said the lines were so long

Got to the gates 1/2 hour before open time

One thing I learned that I can hopefully pass on...we rented a stroller that was originally meant for my 3 year old. We found out very quickly that my 5 year old could easily sit between his legs. So, we made a double stroller out of a single. They rode like that for 2 days and it was a lifesaver!

Im so glad you had a great time. :) thanks for the great info to

So glad you had a good time! Could you please tell us more about the Jedi sign, I missed that particular tip.

This is a really simple but effective way to get your kid's picked for Jedi Training. You take a piece of paper and store it somewhere unobtrusive since signs are not allowed in DLR. On it you write something like *The Force is Strong with This One*, or some other star wars type of message and they hold up the sign while jumping up and down and showing great enthusiasm and the sign virtually guarantees they will get picked.

Bright colored or distinctive shirts also help, it is how the Jedi Master can identify kids easily. We put the sign/paper in the bottom of the stroller basket with stuff on top of it and no words visible and it is fine. If security sees your sign they will make you throw it away. Lots of people fold theirs up and stick it in a pocket or backpack, too.

I'm glad you had so much fun!!! and glad your DS was picked for training!!
