I just wanted to share my story and tell everyone on the DVC Planning board thanks! You all walked me through a rental process through your posts and didnt even know it! 
Heres my story:
We have an upcoming trip planned for 6 - Husband, Mom, Dad, Son 5, Daughter 1, and me. For the first six nights, we will be staying at the Marriott Horizons where my MIL is an owner. We needed to find a place for the last three nights. I booked a 1 bedroom AKV for those nights at a cost of over 1600 dollars and knew that it would be cramped at best. After reading all of the information here, and lurking for quite some time, I decided to try to rent a reservation from an owner. After several questions and one badly worded post ,(Webmaster Doc was so patient with me) I posted my request- a 2-bedroom villa- with order of preference for three nights at the end of August. Even though I dont have many posts, I soon received a reply. It came from another member who had even fewer posts than I had. (Sometimes, those of us with few posts are just shy or lurkers!) But, she provided references, an address, and even a blog and I soon felt comfortable. I provided her with a secure Paypal payment after the contract was signed and I received a confirmation number. Today, I received the actual DVC reservation hard copy. We are booked in a 2 bedroom villa at OKW and I couldnt be happier. My parents have never been to WDW and I cant wait to show them how great it is.
So Anyway Thank you all so much, you saved me tons of money and made a scary process much less so! You guys Rock!
