Hi everyone, and Pete in particular!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing your weight loss journey on the podcast! You've truly inspired me.

Currently, I weigh in at 275 lbs. I'm 6'1", and am considered obese by the BMI scale. I've gone through so much to lose weight; fad diets, exercise programs, fat camp (not kidding) and even liposuction on my former 'moobs'.

Since the surgery, I'm feeling a lot better about myself. A lot more confident about the way I look, what I wear, and how I present myself. It was money well spent, but because of all the failed attempts to get down to a reasonable weight, I decided some time ago that I wouldn't even bother any further.

That is, until I heard today's podcast. Losing 38 lbs. in three months is incredible. I'm so proud of you! Congratulations! You've done something I think many of us can be jealous of!

Here's my question... What's your secret? Are you just eating healthier, exercising more, or doing a combination of both? What have you cut out of and implemented in your diet? Any foods I should be aware of before starting this weight loss challenge?

Also, how has your cigarette consumption changed, if at all, since starting to lose weight? I'm slowly but surely cutting down from a pack a day, and want to kick my habit completely by the end of 2012. I'm currently down to 6-8 cigarettes per day.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks! I'm so excited to begin this next chapter of my life and hopefully achieve the success you've achieved!
