I just wanted to thank you Pete for praising the Military and the families. As a Military wife with 4 kids whose husband is serving away from home as we speak, I can not tell you how often I see and hear people take for granted what they have without thought of how they got those freedoms and the realative feeling of safety that we are priveledged to have living in this country. I truly appreciate your words of support for our Military. That honest and heartfelt appreciation such as yours makes me feel that what my husband and other soldiers do and we as Military families do and sacrifice for this country is truly not under estimated and is fully appreciated. It did my heart good to hear you and the crew speak so highly of our Military. Thank you!

Add me to the list of people that appreciates what your husband and your family is sacrificing for the rest of us! :thumbsup2 Thank you.

Agreed, thanks Pete and team.

Without getting political, one thing that you all mentioned was the treatment of Vietnam vets v. Afghan/Iraq vets. One issue that is seriously affecting our Irag/Afghan vets is the ability to get mental health treatment. I hope that as these men and women come back, we are all able to see that they are heroes for dealing with the physical AND mental and emotional realities of war.

As I am about to "marry the Air force" I would like to thank you for your kind words also.
I had no connection to the military before I meet my fiance 2 years ago and since then my soon to be husband I have gone through 6 month deployments, threat of a move across the country and countless "What are we going to do if..." conversations.
You don't know how much it means to get that extra boost of support from our fellow Americans. Thank you!!

I'll add my thanks as well. :flower3:

As one who lived through it, Pete is correct in his observation that perspectives of those that serve have improved significantly since the Vietnam era. Those serving in uniform have taken on a tough task - and done it willingly. For those that haven't been in a war zone its hard, perhaps impossible, to imagine what they go through.
