We have been using a travel agent to plan for our upcoming trip to Disney. She has been very helpful. This is our first big vacation in years and it will be our boys first trip to Disney, so we've needed alot of advice from out TA. She's been really good at suggesting how to get the most out of doing Disney with 3 year olds. She even got up at 6am on a Saturday to make our ADR. So, my question is, do we send her a gift? Write her a note? How do you show appreciation to a TA?

Hi! What a nice gesture. I am a TA and have received gifts from clients in the past. Not everyone gives a gift, so it is not necessary. However, the ones that I appreciate the most are gift cards. Usually to a favorite store chain or restaurant chain. HTH

Sounds like you have a great TA! Enjoy your vacation!

I was wondering the same thing! My TA Jen, from Dreams Unlimited is AMAZING, and I wanted to get her something to show my appreciation for everything she has done! How do I go about getting the gift to her though?

You should contact management to let them know what a great job your TA have done. People are quick to complain, but compliments are rare and much appreciated!

I am a TA, and letters to managers are awesome! I have also received gift cards and things like mugs from Disney, mouse ears etc. I like the souvineer stuff better myself. But letters to my boss are the best for me!

I would send a letter to her boss first, then I would get her a little gift at Disne yand while you are there drop a post card in the mial to her so that it will be post marked from there. On the card let her know taht you thoguht about her and all her help is making your trip great.

Another travel agent chiming in! DH and I own our own agency so no managers to write to ;) but we LOVE thank you notes and the ones sent from WDW or DLand are especially special since they thought of us on their vacation. As far as tangible gifts, anything that's special to that time is great, like pins from special events, special edition mouse ears, etc.

From a business standpoint, it's also great to thank your TA on Facebook or Twitter (include a link to their website or FB page) because word-of-mouth advertising is the best way to promote a service! Sending snapshots of your family having fun on their vacation, along with permission for the TA to use them on their website or blog, is another free-to-you, but worth oh so much to the TA, gift.
