I can't guarantee everyone here is like this, but so far I have seen nothing like this on the DIS.

In another group that I am in, a large number of people think it is perfectly ok to lie about your 3 year olds age in order to not have to pay for them. The person who started the discussion feels that since her 3 year old spends most of his day waiting around while the adults ride the rides with height restrictions she shouldn't have to pay for him. The number of people who agreed was shocking. Plus, there were several people who even went so far as to teach their kids to lie about their age so if they were questioned the kid wouldn't give it away.

I'm simply shocked. What are they teaching their children? Sorry, just needed to vent.

Oh, wow. I can't even imagine TEACHING my kid to lie so I could save a few bucks! Don't these people realize what they are doing in the long run to their kids? My conscience is worth way more than $70.

Definitely NOT ok to lie for multiple reasons. You are teaching your child it is ok to lie and that in itself is wrong. Very wrong. Also, Disney keeps up with the ages, or tries to. Eventually it will catch up with you...or could. At least I think it could. Doesn't really matter. It is just wrong. I hate seeing parents set bad examples for their children. I hate people thinking they are entitled to breaking the rules. It's just wrong. It is arrogance.

I agree but it is Not unusal.I have a friend who is going next week with her small 5 yr old that she is trying to pass off as under 3...I am glad I am not there for that I would have to pretend I didn't know her.There is no reasoning with people that do that, and I have to think that as with all things Disney, that Disney will eventually require proof of age, or start charging for all kids.
