just back from a wonderful (albeit too short) 3 night cruise on the disney dream!

thank you Dreams Unlimited for the lovely gift basket sent to our disney resort in time for our cruise.

the Disney Dream is a magnificent ship, and while 3 nights is far too short a cruise, i'm so glad we decided to go for it..
3 nights was all we could fit into our schedule this time, but it was lovely to experience the amazing ship, fantastic crew, delicious food and wonderful service throughout!!!

when i have more time, i'll come back with a more detailed report!...but suffice to say, it was all amazing...no cons at all!!

Glad you had a great time and looking forward to reading more about your (short) cruise experience!
We also love DU and Marrie; whom has been our TA for several of our cruises and WDW vacations. She is also helping us with our upcoming DCL European cruise booked for next year.

which cruise in europe?

we made an onboard booking - not for anything specific - you can book onboard for a future DCL cruise (you must cruise within two years of the onboard booking)..
naturally, we again gave DU as our agent of choice...(and already received our email from Tracey saying that she received the notification from DCL)...

we're thinking of using that booking for a cruise in the med next year (2018)....but if we do, it will be relatively last minute...

DD and her husband cruised the med last year on the disney magic (and LOVED it)!!

We have reservations made for the 10 night Norwegian Fjord and Iceland cruise. It will be my wife, son and I and another couple with their daughter. This is the first time cruising DCL for the other couple and our first time cruising DCL anywhere in Europe. To say the excitement level is high is an understatement. The Mediterranean on DCL is definitely on our bucket list and I think it would be my sons first choice, but we're paying for it :).

i saw that one - sounds spectacular!! but pricey....
since we're thinking of taking the whole family (my husband and me, our daughter and son-in-law, and our son, daughter-in-law and the two grandkids), it's way out of my price range..
the med cruises are much cheaper...ok...not 'cheap' since it's DCL, but less expensive

another possibility is the repositioning from barcelona to dover...

A long time ago; we knew we wanted to do the Norwegian Fjord cruise if offered next year. When our DU travel agent announced that the 2018 itineraries were coming out we were ready to jump in before they were available to the general public.

Because we are Gold Castaway Cay members we were able to book just ahead of Silver and the general public. Since the first day the prices and itineraries came out, the prices for all categories for this cruise have gone up a lot after we booked. If we were only now to go online and check out the prices, we would not be on this cruise.

Disney Med is absolutely amazing. Longer cruises on DCL have added magic, and the crew really gets to know you. Besides, Europe is much more fun than Carribean

we're silver...our next cruise will take us to gold..
since our destination is the ship, the ports are less important to us...(we live on the european side of the atlantic)..
so i can aim at the least expensive cruise possible, other than the TA, which is probably the best bang for the buck....but DH has to be available 24/7, which while more and more doable is still less possible on a TA...

well...least expensive isn't always true....for alaska, i went with the itinerary that most suited me, since in alaska, the ports were important to me.....we chose radiance of the seas, as we wanted a one way which wasn't available with DCL..

Isn't it fun slowly climbing the ladder to Platinum?
Our cruise next year will be number 8. We are thinking of doing a back to back, 3 night/4 night cruise to finally make Platinum!pixiedust:

that makes sense!!
how many is platinum? 10?

the truth is, we just returned to DCL two years ago, after spending a few years loyal to royal...
but DCL has my heart again....
they improved their product for adults and we're now hooked!!
