Thanks to all who gave advice to my many questions before our trip. We had a great time. Had a true magical moment when Mickey Mouse cuddled our 1 year old, cradling him and rocking him for literally almost 10 minutes. It was amazing. I wanted to provide some feedback and tips from our trip, as this board is always so helpful to us:

-I had lots of questions before leaving about whether you can use Single Rider and Baby Swap together. In other words, 1st adult rides through single rider line (alone) while getting a baby swap pass for the ones waiting behind. Then the remaining adult and child tall enough to ride get to use the baby swap pass to ride together through the FP line. I asked several cast members if this was allowed, both at RSR and Splash Mountain, and every time they said yes and gave us the swap pass. This was a great strategy for us. We were able to ride in relatively minimal time without a FP where a single rider line was available.

-Annual passes/renewal: We were 51 days out from our expiration date on our SC Aps, and needed Deluxe for this visit. 40 days is the typical renewal date. We asked very nicely at the ticket booths if there was anything they could do, and they allowed us to upgrade to Deluxe even though we were 51 days out, and we got to keep our later expiration date (so we got almost 14 months of a Deluxe pass). The only condition was we couldn’t use the payment plan, which was fine with us. So if you are close to renewal but not quite there and want to upgrade, it is worth asking. Worked out great for us. And we even got the $20 renewal discount.

-Just by lucky coincidence, we went to ride MJJ and the fireworks started while we were in line. The view from MJJ’s line is great, and the atmosphere was beyond magical. Felt like watching fireworks in a small town and was just all around festive. Plus you forgot you were even waiting in line. Of course you don’t see the stuff on the castle, but it was really a great experience. So I definitely recommend getting in line for MJJ around 9:20.

-I’ve seen lots of questions about what time the lights go on in Carsland, and we wondered this too. Right now, it is just after 8 pm. I’d get there between 7:45-8 if you want to see it in the next couple weeks. If your trip is further away, just check the international sunset time and plan to be there by then.

Alright...gotta ask. What is MJJ??:confused3

Thanks! I'm not up on all the "lingo" for new Carsland yet apparantly.
