I booked my flights for Nov/Dec on March 31 because prices were steadily going up and everything I read said they were just going to continue to do so. I've been watching the prices since then and my flights were nearly $400 more total now than when I booked them. Until the other night when I checked and my Saturday 8 pm flight home had been cancelled and I was now on a 3:30 flight. My travel agent just got them to put us on an 11 AM Sunday flight for the same price, it was originally much higher and is much higher still now. I am SO HAPPY!

So now we'll be staying an extra night and we're going to spend it at Pop. YAY we each get to stay at our favorite resort this trip! We'll only be there one night and for breakfast the next morning and I don't want to pay for a preferred room just for one night so tell me what building did you stay in and what giant icon did you see from there when you opened your door?

Did AA give you warning when the flight was cancelled? Or did you just keep watching???

My 8:00 pm flight was also cancelled over this weekend. I was also put into the 3:00 flight. I was not informed of the cancellation. I was just checking the fares and noticed the flight was no longer being offered. So I checked my reservation and it had been changed.

Couldn't add on the extra night so we'll just have to leave a little earlier.

I haven't heard anything from AA. If I wasn't watching prices I wouldn't have known until my TA called me. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't booked through a TA but she definitely earned the little extra I had to pay for the tickets today.

Was that for the December 3 flight too or are they cancelling all their later non stops? I see you're from IL too are you flying out of OHare also?

MY FLIGHTS WERE CHANGED!

now what? will it change again? dh is glad we're not on the 7AM flight to MCO, but we're scheduled back on a 10AM flight (not 5pm!

No it is for an October 4th flight. Yes I'm also flying out of O'Hare.

That would be us too we're going Oct 4, dh is actually glad my prebooked 7AM flight was cancelled, and we're on the 9:30AM flight!

Its the return flight, from 8 pm to 3:30 is taking away 5 HOURS OF MY VACATION!!

All my planning!! The agent said they will add flights, and all I can do is keep checking back, maybe in a few months, or less!! Yea, thats helpful NOT!

I would keep checking and keep your original info. They moved ours to a horrible return time and I called when a different flight became available and they moved us for free. I didn't go through a TA either and booked with AA.

OK, not that I'm "obsessing" or anything!!

I checked Southwest has the times that AA used to have - so I went to email a complaint to AA, how do they expect customer loyalty? They get my money ahead of time, and I also told them in my email of Southwest flights # and times, and that their flights are cheaper if you download DING... now why should I remain a customer of AA?

The automatic "submit" says "your flight is in the future, if its not about a flight in the next day or two, please call reservations!!!

We are leaving the evening of September 29, luckily they didn't cancell that flight as well.

We will be coming home on the 4th of October. When I noticed the change on my reservation I called AA. I asked the rep if she thought they would add the 8:00 flight back on. She said it was possible since anything could happen between now and October. I then asked if I could switch back to that flight for no charge. She said that "I would have to plead my case".

Hope they add it back as it adds a whole day to my vacation.
