......because United didn't contact me. :crazy2: I really cannot stand United airlines but that's beside the point.

I called to schedule ME with Member Services and when I gave her my flight number, she said okay leaving at 2:57 pm. I said oh, no, we're set to leave at 5:30 pm. She told me to get on United with her on the phone and check. Sure enough, United changed my flight unbeknownst to me. Thank goodness MS informed me. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to share. She was great. :goodvibes We're only flying United because we had vouchers from DH's previous United fiasco at LaGuardia.

wow.. that's some good MS CS right there!

I know! I thanked her and then did the survey at the end. I've got her name. May be worth writing a letter for. Goodness knows United is going to get an email for their lack of customer service. This CM should get one for her stellar customer service.

now a days airlines won't usually contact people unless flights are actually cancelled and flight numbers change; they leave it up to those who bought tickets to check... sucky but I always check my flights a few times after booking

If you have the name of the CM, you should take 5 minutes to write to customer satisfaction about your experience. She deserve to be recognized for the wonderfull service she gave you. Othewise, I guess you would have miss your flight !

I travel with Air Canada and everytime there is a little change in the flight time, even 5 minutes, I receive an email. United could learn from them.

This is the second change. We fly often. We just flew with JetBlue, they made a change, and we were notified. United stinks. I agree, it's sucky.

ME would have left the paper the day before departure and we would have figured it out then after my mini melt down :rotfl: but I agree, I'm going to write MS. She was terrific. :thumbsup2

Yes, United could learn from them. I'm not surprised this is the second change but for some reason I'm surprised I wasn't notified. I should know by now.

We always fly united. We like them however, they do not notify for time changes so I know to check my united app a few times. They are good if you want to change your flight because they changed the time. I am so glad the CM was able to help you and saved you some hassle. Have a great trip!

I had no idea that MS checks all the flights? Seriously?

MS for DVC or the CMs for Magical express?

If you flight time changes, does your departure for DME change too (automatically)?

They don't check the flights. The OP called to setup ME and when they type in the flight number it shows the times.

And DME isn't scheduled service by times. You setting it up just means they know you are coming at some point.
