After going on seven weeks in the hospital, surgery to remove about 12" inches of intestine, 24 hours in recovery, then a scary 2-l/2 days in intensive care, she's home and doing well. She says she can now eat without the terrible stomach pain (just the surgery incision pain now, but that is getting better). The kids are so glad to have her home, and the twins won't let her out of their sight.
Our December trip will be a nice celebration and the timing is good so she has a chance to fully get back on her feet. This whole episode has brought her and her husband closer together and hopefully things will work out well for them.
I can't thank you all enough for your thoughts and prayers for us during this time. It's amazing how much support everyone gives to everyone else on these boards. It's really renewed my faith in the goodness of people.
