Hi guys, I'm a bit confused

trying to book up TGV for next week between CDG and DLP, initally it says that the price is in euros, but at payment stage it changes to a pound sign, so for 2 of us for getting there and getting back with special delivery of tickets it is £51?

Does this sound right?

Please help!

Hi,

I think I changed the "currency" box to pounds before I started searching, when I booked and paid for my tickets online.

I paid just over £20 for our tickets, all fees included, for one adult, one child (peak time price as well) from DLP to CDG on a Friday.

I just booked TGV tickets from Germany and two adults return would be 60 Euros, so around 40 GBP. Are you sure that you need special delivery. I actually got my tickets in the mail the day after I ordered them. They do not send them from France, they have an office in Cologne. Since there is an office in London as well (I once bought a ticket there in person!) I assume they would mail them out from there.

Good point - I also got my tickets in the post the day after I booked them online - they came from London. I didn't request special delivery.

I seem to remember that I paid £44 for return tickets for two adults a coule of years ago. Don't remember how much more it cost to post them - not much I think. So £51 with the special delivery sounds along the right lines - but I agree that there is probably no need to bother paying more than you have to. :)

which site is best? i was using the rail europe one which does not give me another option for delivery :(

arghhhh sorry for double posting but i have a conundrum here - i didnt buy the tickets yesterday and now they are not letting me buy them as it is now less than 1 week until we go :(

is there any other way to book tgv tickets, can you buy them at the airport??

I'm sure you can, there are certainly ticket booths at DLP station.

phew, got it booked up just now by calling 087050848848 (might be good number to put on the very useful info bit?) for 44 pounds for 2 adults return, just went for first class post as opposed to paying the extra fiver for special delivery! what a cheap skate!

thanks for all your help guys!

I am uncertain about what ticket to get I am looking at the 5 day zones one to six pass which I think is about £35 which will take me from airport to disney to paris centre do you think its better to buy now or wait and just pick it up at the station will it be more expensive getting a bit concerned that people are booking tickets now I thought that you could just jump on a train
do they run very frequently sorry to highjack this thread but thought some of the answers would be relivent:) thanks

Hi! I think you are talking about the RER trains, the local trains around Paris within the Paris public transport system, aren't you? You will certainly be able to get tickets at the airport! The talk here has been about tickets for the direct TGV (high speed) train from the CDG airport directly to the Disneyland resort. It akes just 11 minutes as opposed to the RER which takes over an hour. For the TGV I would advise to book ticktes ahead as some trains require a reservation and even though ticktes can also be bought at the station, I am not sure what happens when the train is booked out. The good thing is that with your ticket you are still able to take a later train, you are just not guaranteed a seat which would not be a problem for a 11 minutes train ride. Hope this helps!
