I am a subscriber to both, just recently with touring plans. According to TGM I scheduled my parks for certain days (We are going 3rd week of March) My AK day is green with Mike. Just checked touring plans and that is the only red park for the same day. Why would they be different? And which website would you trust more?
Thanks!

I am going the same week and have the same problem.

I decided to stick with the TGM days. I have used TGM for our last three trips including one which was during a very busy period. My experience is that those recommended days by TGM are spot on.

TGM-his guides are in the parks everyday while TP uses statistics and mathematical probablilites.
I do use both though-TGM's best days are the most accurate but TP has a free trip planner guide you can print out. Also if you're not using RideMax, TP has good touring plans for the parks. Mike does too but TP's are more up to date.

Thanks! Yeah, I almost wish I didn't subscribe to touring plans because almost all of our days are 9. something out of 10, felling a little nervous now!

Nothing to be nervous about. Just really study TGMs touring tips. They work like a charm.:thumbsup2 His Least Crowded Parks chart is SPOT ON.

You may want to subscribe to RideMax. A 90 day Disney World subscription is
$18.95 and it would probably be the best money you spend on the trip.

Relax.

First, consider what these sites are intended to do - maximize your access to attractions and minimize line time. While these are worthy goals, I think they generate a perception that a crowded day is a failed touring day -- they are not. I have been in WDW Easter week when all of the line capacity of Pirates of the Caribbean was in use -- we still had an awesome trip. The week you are going is not going to be anywhere near peak crowding or summer crowds. Even a bad choice of park on a given day will likely work out for you.

Tour smart. Know what you are interested in and think through how each day should flow so you aren't cris-crossing parks. Follow TGM's advice about what will crowd up a park (big arrival days are busy MK days because people like to go there first, extra magic hours fill parks, etc), but don't overthink it.

Most importantly, be flexible on the ground. If you slam into something busy, go do something else. Crowds ebb and flow and even on the busiest of days you can manage to find shorter lines and leverage fastpasses to do everything you would like.

Welcome to the DIS, Megan.

Not sure why different, but if different, I would lean on the TGM side.

Same here...I subscribe to both.
They are both very informative, but TGM was foolproof in our last trip.
I will always use him.

I haven't used TGM, but subscribed to TP for our last trip. It was fabulous!! I had everything printed out for each day of our trip, and by following the touring plans, I never waited in a single line.

Thank you to everyone (esp Eastoncat) for calming me! This is only our 2nd time going, and last time I planned absolutely nothing, so now I am obsessing, but way better off than last time! What is Ridemax?
