This is my favorite, favorite movie of all time. I ordered it and the "Last Picture Show" for 1.99 each a couple weeks ago, and am watching them tonight. Right now, Lester Marlow is in the hospital and worried about being, um, liked too much in prison and Dwayne is visiting.

Such a great movie and was the reason I visited Texas 10 years ago, lol. Any other fans out there?

Everytime I see Jeff Bridges in any movie, I think of Texasville. It was quite disconcerting while watching "The Vanishing".

I also loved Annie Potts! "You shouldn't leave me alone on days like these, I can't even get drunk!"

i was so sad that dwayne's whole family fell in love with Cybil's character (Jaycee-sp) i think that was her name. even dwayne's dog abandoned him for her. i thought annie potts did a great job. this makes me want to see the movie again! it's been a while since i've seen it.

LOL, poor Dwayne. He is the quintessential (sp) midlife crisis guy.
