Who's royally sick of all this cold? Consider this a place to vent about the cold snap and all the problems that tag along.

For me there's no school tonight(one night class) and tommorow already looks iffy. But I have a feeling lots of little kids are happy for the very short week(2nd day this week of no school)

Outside of freezing my tail off all is well otherwise :cold: :cold: :cold:

Sorry Court....no complaints here.:lmao: I am getting ready to go to "The Mills"...:rolleyes1

OKAY.....I do hate the cold.;)

We usually only have one or two events like this all winter.
Maybe we will get them over with in one week.

I love Texas, we complain when its too hot and now were complaning when its too cold! Just no happy medium around here:)
I dont mind the couple days of cold, its sure beat a couple days of 105 temps.

Just as long as this thing doesn't interere with our flight to Orlando this Sunday, I have no real problem with. But then again, I grew up in Vermont, so I am used to the cold.

I don't recall seeing you around in awhile - hope you are well!

I hate the cold but it's nice to be so lazy ;) The roads are driveable so I think I'm going to do some shopping... church was canceled tonight, as was work, so I have an unexpected day off! Wednesdays are usually 13 hour days for me!

Same here. DW & I are going to Houston for the weekend. My Christmas present was a trip to see the Rockets play the Nuggets Saturday night. Should be cool & rainy, but no ice. I've enjoyed the days off, but it's time to get back to work.

The list of churches with no services tonight is getting longer by the minute

All is well indeed. My employer has restricted surfing on the net, which is why I disappeared. But the last few days I have been working at home, so I had a chance to check out the DIS again.

I juast got a call that said chior rehersal is canceled tonight. Mandy and I may have some time to do some pre-trip shopping as well.

I am too. I hate hate hate being cold.

I would much rather deal with 95 than 25 or 35 or 45, 55 - 65 is doable. LOL

For some reason when I am hot I can easily find a way to cool off. But when I get cold - I stay cold... and that is just miserable.

The past few nights I have had to go to bed nearly completely dressed with socks and the most insane thing - I have slept with my gloves on.

Who ever sent this stuff - can take it back. Just leave the rain - but make it a nice warm rain. ;)

I am just the oposite. You can always put on more layers of clothing to get warmer, but after a while you simply run out of things you can take off to get cooler.

Another hater of the cold here. The heaters in my house don't work. We are getting new ones but it will take a about a week. We knew this when we bought the house but it didn't seem to be that big of a deal. Last year we never even turned them on.
I don't know how people up north do it. I guess you just get used to what you live with.

Also I have to go to work tonight. I work with kids, they had the day off from school so I think they should have the day off gymnastics.

O.K. vent over.

I hate it. I can stand the heat a whole lot better than the cold. We did need the rain though, so I guess I can stand it for a few more days.

We've been off work this whole week, and I don't know how many more times I can watch Cars with DS. ;)

I'm tired of the cold and snow but I don't live in Texas! I'm tired of my furnace running 24/7 just to keep the house cool comfortable. I'm tired of the wind chills down in the minus category. I'm tired of winter. I'm tired of high temps in the low 20's to the high teens!

I need to go where it's warm!

Grapevine Mills? I'm heading up there when DBF gets off. My campus didn't cancel classes until around 7, by then I was already up and ready. The campus bookstore remained open though so I went and picked up my textbooks for my T,Th classes.

According to the latest forecasts you should be okay.

Can you believe my school district is closed again Thursday?! Granted, it's in the Hill Country, but I thought for sure we'd be back at work Thursday. I'm going stir crazy!!!

DSis is bored senseless, she was to have gone back to school post winter break today(college)
