In the wake of Ike, I know a lot of us are very worried for everyone. Could the TX disers please check in. Prayers going out to all affected by the storm. :grouphug:

yep, please check in. :)

I'm here. But I'm in the Fort Worth area which was right on the fringe and we only got some always appreciated rain. Dallas was a little harder hit by rain, but still not too horribly I think.

I'd love to hear from some of our more southern and eastern Texas Disers.

I don't think a lot of them CAN check in. My sister is in Houston (and okay), but with no power and most cell towers down, communication is limited.

I hope everyone's ok. Our corporate offices are in Houston and they just sent an update saying they are in disaster recovery and data protection modes. I don't think that sounds good.

:grouphug: Check in when ya can - I hope everyone's safe!

My sister in Longview & stepmom in Gilmer are without power. They don't have any major damage, but don't know when the power will return.

Hi!

I am in Central Texas ( Ft Hood area) we did not even get a drop of rain here. for all those in the Galveston and Houston areas.

:wave2: I'm in Houston and yep, no power. thankfully my job does and they let us come in to charge phones and enjoy the ac.
we survived realitively unscathed, lots of tree damage, but no flooding in my neighborhood (I like about 5 miles from Reliant Stadium and the med center). just have no electricity. thank goodness I filled my gas tank up before the storm and we recently ventured out and were able to find some more water.

I'm here too. Lots of water damage in apartment. Finally got power last night. Now I can finally see to report damages to office.
The only thing that got us through this mess was talking about our WDW trip that is in 10 days.

I'm in Katy. I am fine but I don't have power. My cousin does so there are 18 people hanging out at her house. I had one aunt lose a chimney and one of my cousins lost everything but we are all ok. One of the sad things was the bad storms Sunday morning. I had a friend that thought she had made it. Sunday morning her house flooded. My best friend lives in Seabrook, that is one of the hardest hit areas. Her house is on the water but it is only a few years old. Her whole neighborhood is fine but the older parts of town look like war zones.

Glad you are all okay. Hopefully the rest of our members will check in soon and be fine. Prayers and positive thoughts to all affected.
