Does anyone know where I can buy tevas or an equivalent supportive sandal in Canada? I went to Sportcheck today and they said they didn't sell tevas. They had some other sandals, but they didn't look very supportive to me. I usually wear running shoes in WDW, but since we're going in August this year, I'm thinking of investing in sandals for coolness! Any advice? The salesperson at Sportcheck was useless as he offered us ZERO advice. TIA :)

I have been searching for crocs but have been unable to find any. The website says Sportcheck and Soft Moc carry them but I have checked 2 stores of each chain and no luck. I would buy them from the website but I would love to try them on first. Also tried Payless for the generic brand just to see them but again no luck. I will try National next.
Good luck in your search for Tevas

I have seen Tevas at RnR, but the nice ones are always mens. I asked if they were planning on getting the women's, and they said no. They were having problems with the company in the States getting the 4 pairs of mens that they had that they didn't want to bother with trying to get the women's.
Somewhere on the canadian board, someone said where they were able to find Crocs. Maybe you will be in luck yet.

The best best best sandles I have found are by Nike "ACG"
These sandles are awesome, just bought my second pair, the foot bed is so comfortable-you have no idea!

I bought my Teva walking sandals back in 2000 and they now have a "million" Disney miles on them. I have been looking to try to replace them as they are starting to break down but no luck so far. I bought these here in town at a local shop and paid $100 for them, I think on sale. They will do me for our upcoming trip to Disneyland (and maybe a couple more WDW trips) but it's on my list to try to find them down there.

They are not the most stylish looking but were just wonderful to do all that walking in them plus were great in the rain or "wet" rides.

I bought a pair of Tevas sandals at North by Northwest about a month ago. My daughter got a pair too. They are very comfortable and we plan on wearing them in August at WDW. Runners are too hot in August in Florida, tried wearing them last year and got too hot! I wore Birkenstocks last summer at WDW and they were comfy but I nearly lost one on Buzz Lightyear so I that's why I got Tevas this time round.
I bought a pair of Croc ripoffs at Payless and I find them too hot so I couldn't imagine wearing them at WDW. They are comfy but I just wear them around the yard. They can sit out on the deck and I don't worry if it rains on them. I can't imagine wearing them in Florida heat!
Good luck in your Teva search! :flower:

I bought some really nice Teva's from The Shoe Company. They were discounted, and you get Airmiles. They also had a large size selection. I would really suggest checking them out.

Coast Mountain Sports at Markville Mall in Markham had them last year. They were the "nicer" Tevas that are normally $80-$90, and they were on sale for about $60.

My SIL swears by her Tevas, so at this price she bought an additional pair. Personally I find that my feet feel too "bare" for comfort when I try them on (I've heard it sometimes takes getting used to), but I have a pair of Merrells that I love and will bring with me next visit to Disney...hopefully next year.

I know in White Oaks Mall the North by Northwest has them so does softmock and I think the Bay had them or something very similar. Also look at the Nike ones and the Columbia ones and Timberland ones.

I saw Teva's at Mountain Equipment Co-op. I believe then have online shopping there as well. They also had them at another local "outdoorsy" shop. Try those places. :goodvibes I bought Montrail (?Sp) flipflops - they have this flat bed and you bake them in the oven and wear them until they mold to your foot and they feel heavenly :cloud9: Good luck on your search :flower:

am looking for orthopedic sandles for our upcoming Disney trip. I usually wear Rockports but considering either sandals or shoe inserts. You may wish to contact your local hospital since most hospitals have stores which sell such items.
If anyone can recommend a good sandal but still fashionable - please PM me.

Hello!

I went to the Teva site and contacted them by e-mail. I asked them to provide a list of retailers in my area. I have had my Teva Trail Wraptors for about a week. I love them! I love the look of them, and they are very well cushioned.

I just bought a pair at North by Northwest in Masonville (London) a couple of days ago at 50% off. One of the sales clerks told me that the distributor from whom they get their supplies was moving out of Canada and that NbNW wouldn't be carrying Tevas anymore.

A big thank you to everyone who posted! I took your advice and went to our local North by Northwest and bought their second last pair!!! I also got 50% off since they're not selling them there any longer. I wore them for a couple hours today and they felt pretty good. I could feel a little rubbing, but I guess that's normal as I work them in. I hope they'll be about perfect for our August trip. Thanks again!! I never would have thought to look there! :) :)
