Tevas for walking the World

We leave in 32 days and I'm taking Teva pretty rugged nylon, child sized keen newport h2 (heel cup rather than heel strap), crocs beach, my running shoes, and flip flops for eh. I'll post on comfort and such when I return. I'm assuming I'll wear the keens and tevas in the parks the most. :goodvibes

I also love Terra Fi 2 sandals. I always wear them at WDW & live in them all summer. Great support & very comfortable.

Another Terra-Fi 2 lover. I have flat feet and these have the best support. I have never gotten blisters wearing them in the parks. I also use Body Glide on my feet before I put them on.

I bought the terri fi 2's, and the dozers, and my dog ate one of each, does anyone know if I called Teva, if I can buy just one of each instead of 2 other sets of shoes? I'm SOOO mad, cause both of these were brand new, I only wore the dozers twice!!! Just wondering if that was possible. I have the mush also, and I LOVE those. Just want my other ones back by my trip in september so I can swap out shoes. Thanks!!

I tried on the Pretty Rugged and Terra Fi 2 this weekend. I thought the Terra Fi 2 had better arch support. I looked at the toachi and decided not to try because I thought they were too bulky looking.

I ordered my Terra Fis from Sierra Trading post. They are on sale for $30! Got a pair for my 14yo stepson who tried them on and liked them too.

Anyone try the Keen Newport H2? I just got a pair and haven't worn them yet. Wondering how comfy they are. I used to have a pair of LandsEnd Beach Trekkers that I loved but the zip laces broke and can't be replaced and they've changed the style of the shoe since then. I don't like the new style.

Wore them to Greece and loved them. Wore socks if my feet got cold but generally wore them barefoot. Will be wearing them next month at WDW.

Thanks to all for the tips. I have a pair of ECCOs, that have caused a variety of blisters. Based on what was posted here, I ordered the Teva Terra Fi 2 (at a much lower price than the ECCOs thanks to Sierra Outpost) Received them today. Love them right out of the box, wore them for our 2 mile walk tonight and still feel good. No hot spots. :)

Just to let you all know that this morning they slashed the prices on the Tevas by around $5.00 more so i bought myself a pair of Pretty Ruggeds for $23.96 + 5.95 for shipping at Sierra Trading Post. I bought the Mauve color. I cant wait to get them!! Im so glad i didnt buy them last night, which i almost did because they were cheaper this morning!!!!!

I think I need to find some locally and try them on. I'm short with scrawny legs and I'm wondering if the Ruggeds or Terri Fi's are just going to look big and balky??? Between the two styles, any opinions about that? Are you finding your sandals to be true to size?

Thanks!! Another DIS inspired obsession ;)

If you read the reviews on Sierra Trading (there are about 400+ per style) alot of great reviews and most people said they were true to size. I figured if they arent for me i will just list them on e-bay and shouldnt have a problem selling them.

Thanks for the heads up on the prices! I actually ordered the Teva Terra Fi 2, as well as a pair of Teva Mush flip flops for myself! The cost was just under $50, and that's includes the $8 shipping!

If you are ordering at least $75, if you sign up on their website for their emails, you'll immediately get an email with an offer of 20% off (this is for sierratradingpost).

I'm always wearing sneaks and HATE how hot my feet get in Sept. I've tried crocs, but they gave me nasty blisters. So, I'm looking forward to 2 new options this year!!

They have the kids mush flip flops very cheap as well, but the colors/sizes weren't working for my girls. So, I found some on REI for $10 that ship free to the store (we have one about 10 miles from here). So, I grabbed them each a pair as well!!

OOOH! Now, I can't wait for my new shoes!!!!!! :cool1:

Has anyone bought the Teva Elixer 5 Women's flip flops? They cost around $50--- anyone try these yet?:santa::santa::santa:

I practically live in my Teva Dozers in the summer. However, I did find that I did get a blister after an intense day of Disney walking, so I tend to use them for shorter stints, or put a bandaid in the spot where I know I'll get the blister.

I have an old pair that I can't replace, they don't make them like that anymore! But I do have a Terra Fi, and those are great for the parks. I just ordered two pairs of Mush's from Teva, free shipping with 2 pair.

Here's the recommendation from someone who's been wearing them for years. Not counting the flip flops, if you're looking for park shoes, get the ones with the lining between the 'ribbon' and your foot. I don't think the Hurricanes have the lining, but Terra Fi does. That's what will make the difference between being able to wear them all day or not.

I wore Teva Mush flip flops during our 7 days trip last August and never had a problem. In fact I loved the fact that they dried so quickly during the tropical storm that parked itself over FL during our whole trip.

I'm wondering about these as well. I'm seriously thinking about ordering them soon. They have good reviews on the shoe websites.

I just got my Teva shipment yesterday and so far here is my review:

Teva Mush flip flops - AWESOME!! I went walking for 2 hours prior to putting these on and my feet were killing me from my sneakers. These immediately made my feet feel better. I have a high arch in my foot and these feel really comfortable. I can actually see myself wearing these in the parks.

Teva Oolawahu Mush (sp? lol) - also fantastic! They stay on your feet very well....these are definite keepers as well.

Pretty Rugged - got these in the mauve color and they are actually better looking than I expected. Let's face it - they aren't the sexiest shoe but they are very comfortable. DH says since I have a small foot they look cute on me LOL. I've been wearing these for the past 4 hours and running errands - no blisters, rubbing - very comfy. I wouldn't mind a tad bit more arch support but these are keepers as well. I also bought these for all of my kids - my DS9 wore them all day yesterday (we got the camo) and he loves them.

Has anyone tried the teva volterra style on Sierra Trading Post? They look so cute, but it's hard to see how they would compare to something like the pretty rugged.

My mom got a pair and loves them!! She got them off of shoebuy.com and then got a discount code plus free shipping. I think her total cost was like $47.

Of course I'm in search of some great shoes for Disney walking! But, I have flat feet and definitely need wide shoes. Do Tevas fit wide sizes or do they offer wide? Whenever I've had shoes like walking or running shoes that have a high part in the arch area, it makes my that part of my foot really ache and I can't wait to get the shoes off and my feet hurt after. Anyone else have flat feet that has tried the tevas and really likes them? I don't like when the arch area is extra high like in some walking/running shoes, makes my feet really ache. Now, unfortunately I'm pooh sized and have a really hard time finding good shoes that are comfy enough for tons of disney walking, but I really, really need to, lol! We are going again in Jan and I can't take another trip where my feet, ankles, knees are so sore and stiff and swollen. I think some good shoes could help make some difference. I think a really thick sole, not too flexible but supportive is definitely helpful. Last Nov I did use a knee brace, the kind that wraps around the knee, just under the knee cap and it really did help a lot, thanks to a disser who suggested that great tip! Anyway, thoughts on tevas for wide, flat feet? The deals sound great! :) TIA
