Thanks to the Dis, my favorite flip flop for regular life and Disney travel is the Teva original Mush. I wanted to buy a new pair for my trip in September, but my size (and a size up and down) are on backorder until the end of October on the Teva site.

Anyone have any luck in any "real" stores, or online shops, with the Teva original Mush? I've only been able to find the Mush II, which I have found is just not as comfortable. I hit the jackpot last year on the EMS site and bought three pairs for $12 each, but I've worn them so much now I really need a new pair. I'm considering the Olowahu but am concerned that my very very wide feet won't fit in the straps, and that they won't be as comfy as my original Mush.

Any tips or advice? Thank you!

My favorite flip flops are Douglas Paquette....fit my very wide feet very well and never any blisters from wearing them at WDW. I tried the Original Mush and not as comfortable for me...also the footbed is nicely cushioned on the Paquette's. Check them out online on their own website.

I am having the exact same problem!! My size is on backorder until October. Ugh...also very interested if there is anywhere else I can buy them.

I will take a look, thanks!

If you can't find the original Teva Mush, you might want to give the Cobian Braided Bounce a try. Before getting plantar fasciitis I used to swear by Teva Mush too (the original, not the Mush II that's no where near as comforable). I found though that the Cobian Braided Bounce is very similar to the original Teva Mush, just a little more mushier with a little more arch support. I can no longer wear my beloved Teva Mush originals, but do well in the Cobian Braided Bounce.

These are the ones I'm talking about: http://www.amazon.com/cobian-Womens...4822956&sr=8-1&keywords=cobian+braided+bounce

My favorite shoe to wear at WDW though is the OluKai Ohana flip flops: http://www.amazon.com/Olukai-Ohana-...8&qid=1374823072&sr=1-1&keywords=olukai+ohana

Do you find the sizing of the Cobian to be similar to the Tevas? They do look comfy!

Try Famous Footwear, that's where I get my Teva Mush flippies every year. I've also gotten them at Sierra Trading Post online site.

I wear the same size in both, but the Cobian Bounce may fit just a tad snugger, which I like. They don't seem to flop as much as the Teva Mush. I have them in the multi metallic and also in the natural brown.

Just an FYI for the OP or anyone else who wants to try the Cobians. I just ordered them on Sports Authority for $17.99 and free shipping. They had them in the Bounce and the Braided Bounce. I was able to try them on at a local shop but didn't buy since they were $30 there. Glad I waited! I did order them in the same size I get my Tevas in. They felt much like the Teva Mush! Thanks for the recommendation.

I tried on the OluKai Ohanas today and unfortunately found them to be a bit heavy for my feet.

I'm curious about the Cobians...how is the material on the footbed? Aside from having wide feet, they sweat a lot too. The Teva original mush material is not smooth, it's a bit rough, and seems to absorb the sweat (without smelling) rather than being slick and my feet slide all over the place. Is the material similar to the Tevas? Or is it more slick? They are cheap (thanks to the poster above me) on Sports Authority so I'd like to order a pair if they are a similar material! Thanks! :)

Here was my experience with the Cobians. The footbed of the one called the braided bounce is VERY similar to the Teva Mush. I felt like the one just named Bounce is slightly different. As for sweat, I also have sweaty feet and I feel like the footbed will absorb it okay.

I also tried on the Olukai Ohana and felt like they were very stiff.

Thank you! I think I will stop in my local sports authority to try them on and see, and then order them online like you!

No luck at Sports Authority to try them on, so I just went for it and ordered them! I can always return them if they disappoint, but I'm hoping they will be a great replacement for my original mush :)

I should have said that the ones I wear are the Braided Bounce. I've never tried any of the other Cobians.

Sorry the OluKai Ohanas didn't work for you. I actually like the Ohanas alot more than I do the Cobians for all day walking, though I can wear both down there. My feet never get tired or achy in the Olukai's. Another good flip flop that I like down there are the Montrail Molokini. You actually bake them for a few minutes in the oven, then immediately put them on and walk around in them. They form perfectly to your feet. After baking and wearing them, you can see every little swirl from each toe on the footbed. They have alot of arch support too. They are the only shoe my mom will wear for WDW (and she also likes the original Teva Mush, but not as well as her Montrail Molokini's:rotfl:). Here are the Molokini's: http://www.zappos.com/montrail-molokini?zfcTest=fcl:0. If you notice, on the Zappos site alone 429 people gave them five star reviews. If the OP likes the original Teva Mush though, the Cobian Braided Bounce would be her best bet, as they would have the most similar footbed.

I haven't received mine yet but I think they are supposed to come today! Yeah I was only able to try them on at a local specialty store called the Flip Flop Shop.

Man, I really wanted to like those Olukai's as I could use extra support since I am pregnant. I might have to go back and try those and the Orthoheels one more time. They were just so stiff. I guess I wanted to feel like I was walking on pillows. LOL! I have heard of the Molokini's bu was so scared I would overcook them.

Time to try Teva. Definitely don't want blisters. Is it true you end up walking 6-8 miles per day. UGGHHHH!!!
