Tests

Have you started standerized tests yet? We started FCAT today... so boring, and you can't even read a book if you finished early! We had to just sit there at our desks, and there isn't even anything to stare at(all the posters and stuff are covered up)! So has anyone started them and if so what do you think?

Well we had midterms, but that's it. We don't have anymore types of tests until finals!

I go to a private school so, we dont have to go by the state rules. So we only have exams. I am soo glad, I HATED the CMTs (Connecticut Mastery test) But I think in HS they have to take the CAP test or something, I'm not sure. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with it anymore.

We do TerraNova's which is some stupid test the state makes us take to make sure we're where we are supposed to be. It's all really stupid questions that 3rd graders can easily answer. But they're in the middle of March.

Yes! I'm so stoked! I can't wait for these standardized tests!! So fun!

we did our writting for our PSSA about three weeks ago. then we will do more in about another three weeks. i hate how the seperate them.

Ugh, private schools..

CAPT test - Connecticut Aptitude Performance Test (I think that's what it means). At my school it's a requirement to graduate and to do that you have to pass all 4 sections (we were the first class that it was madatory to pass). You take the CAPT practice as a freshmen and as a sophmore you take the actual CAPT. If you don't pass one of the sections, you either have to retake it or create a "portfolio" showing that you've learned the required material. I passed all 4, so I didn't have to worry about that..

They start on Thursday and go into next week. The juniors and seniors get half days, while the freshmen and sophmores get full days (3 hours of which they sit in a room and take it). Sucks for them..

We start testing next week. We get to bring something something to do though so I can't help you there. It totally sucks though. I hate testing.
